A: Grooming Brush - made of soft, exploded tip polyester. This 8 1/2" long brush effectively removes dust and dirt from the leaves without damage. We use one on our show plants and to just clean up a plant after having repotted it. Keep one hand under the leaf you are cleaning especially when working on the outer row of leaves.
B: Grooming Tweezers - the neatest thing we've found for getting in at the center of a violet where fingers just can't reach. Easily remove suckers (side shoots) before they can get large enough to spoil the shape of the plant. These stainless steel 6" long tweezers are sharp enough to snip off spent blooms cleanly. They are great for working on either standard sized violets or miniature violets.
C: Leaf Cutting Knife - a super little 5.25" long pen-knife with a screw-on, clear plastic protective cap which doubles as a pocket clip. Extremely sharp blade is great for preparing leaf cuttings for rooting, or scraping the neck of an old plant in need of rejuvenating. In both cases you don’t want to crush the plant tissue, but cut it cleanly. The blade is replaceable.
D: Retractable Blade Knife - with the increasing popularity of chimeral (pinwheel type blossom) violets this little 5.5" long knife is a life saver. The sharp blade is only 1/4" long and 1/8" wide AND it can be retracted into the pen-like body of the knife with a ball-point pen-like button at the top for safe storage. It is perfect for getting down into the center of a violet to cut out those suckers you’ve been waiting and waiting to remove from your violet so that they can be started rooting. The sharp, little blade can do the cutting accurately so that you get the sucker without all of the nearby leaves. You’ll love it. The blade is replaceable.
