If you are ordering to have starter plants sent to a location where daytime high temperatures are regularly 90˚ or hotter the only way we can send you a box of violets and expect them to "arrive alive" is to send them addressed "General Delivery". This means that you go to your Post Office, identify yourself, and pick up your box. The box will not be delivered to your home if labeled General Delivery. Heat damage usually happens when the plants are subjected to hours in a postal delivery vehicle or when the box is left outside at your home. You have more control over the protection of your plants from heat damage using General Delivery. Before you agree to a General Delivery shipment check at your post office to be sure you know where the shipment will be waiting for you. It may not be at your regular post office.
We can also ship to a work address if your work place receives Priority Mail shipments before 11 AM.
