Violet Showcase Plant offerings
    In-Store Sales:      We sell starter plants for shipment and for in-store sales.  In the shop we also sell blooming violets and related plants.  We do not ship blooming plants.  For customers buying plants in the shop we will box up your purchases in shredded paper and may protectively cover them as the weather dictates.  Plants should not be left in your parked car for any longer than you would be willing to sit in there with them.

Shown below is a typical sized starter plant growing in a 2 1/2" pot.

Below is a typical sized  standard sized violet and a typical sized miniature violet.

Mail Order Sales:   Our shipping season for violets begins approximately May 1st and lasts until approximately October 31st (weather permitting).      We ship growing supplies (pots, soil etc.) year round.  There is a $10 minimum order (not including pack/ship charges) for starter plant orders.  You can order starter plants from us in three different ways during shipping season:

    1.  You can have us choose the varieties for you.  We call this type of order a Violet Showcase Plant Assortment.  A Showcase Plant Assortment is a group of 6 or 12 different varieties of starter plants which we choose for you.  Descriptions of the varieties in the assortment will be included.   For the first half of our violet shipping season (May, June, July) we send out 6 plant and 12 plant assortments only.  These plant assortments consist of our choice of varieties.  Packing and Priority Mail shipping charges are included in the assortment prices.  If you add additional plants to a Showcase assortment from our Violet List or from the Ready to Go section additional packing and shipping costs will apply.  The varieties in the assortments are not necessarily from the Ready to Go section.

    2,      You can download a copy of our descriptive plant list and choose the varieties you would like.  We refer to this type of order as a customer choice order.      For the second 1/2 of shipping season (August, September, October) we continue to ship assortments and also ship customer choice orders.    For those customers who wish to order by variety name from our plant list it is very wise to order as early as possible.  Packing and Priority Mail shipping charges apply to customer choice orders.  The 2012 list expires December 1, 2012.  Not all varieties will be offered on the 2013 Violet List.

      Some website visitors are unable to (or do not wish to) download the Growing Supplies catalog.  The Growing Supply catalog and 2012 Plant list is available free for pick up in the shop. If you would  like to have a paper and ink  copy of our Growing Supplies catalog  mailed to you  please send us $1 (cash or check).    We regret that we can no longer send out free catalog/lists.  How to Reach Us.        The 2012 list expires December 1, 2012.  Not all varieties will be offered on the 2013 Violet List.  We cannot send the catalog/list to you by e-mail.

   3.  You can choose varieties from our Ready to Go starter plant varieties   This section has photos where possible of the varieties offered.    This is a  selection of starter plants that are ready for immediate shipping.

   Our violet shipping season depends on our weather: daytime highs and nighttime lows.  We usually can ship plants May through October.  The weather has little effect on growing supply shipments which continue year round.

           All of our plants are grown under fluorescent lights. We are not a greenhouse operation, and we do not sell wholesale.
