The manufacturer of the Intelligent Plant Light has informed us of production delays. We are now out of stock of the Intelligent Plant Light and do not expect another shipment until September at the earliest. We still stock the replacement lamps, however. |
We also have several new items that are not yet in the printed version of the Growing Supplies catalog.
And we also have several close out items which we offer on a "while they last" basis.
![]() Snail ceramic planter This new addition to our ceramic line is cleverly made to water and to show off your plant. The body is waterproof being fully glazed inside and out. A ceramic flower pot is included and inserts into the snail's back. The pot has an unglazed lower section which allows water to slowly soak through to dampen the soil. This gently waters your plant. At soil level the insert pot measures 3.25" across and is 2.5" deep making this best suited to small standard violets. We recommend letting the soil dry out between refills. Hand painted details give this a very whimsical look. 8" long, 5" tall at the tips of the eye stalks. Item #223 Snail ceramic planter, $22.59, shipping weight 25 oz.

Clear
domes in new sizes! The clear heavy weight plastic dome to
fit the 11 x 22" tray has been very popular with customers. We now
offer domes to fit the smaller sized trays. Shown on the left in the
photo is the 13 x 16" tray with dome; on the right the 8 x 8" size
is in the foreground, and the 8 x 12" size is in the background. All
domes are clear, heavy gauge plastic. The two smaller trays with
dome in place each provide a space 5" tall; the 13 x 16" tray with dome in
place provides a space 6" tall. Growers usually do not use
both the grid and the dome on a tray. The dome is used when the tray holds
cuttings while they root. The grid is used to make the tray
into a wicking reservoir. The tray prices are on p. 3 of the Growing
Supplies catalog.Dome for 8 x 8" tray, Item #161D, $2.69, ship. weight 3 oz.; Dome for 8 x 12" tray, Item #153D, $3.69, ship weight 3 oz.; Dome for 13 x 16" tray, Item #151D, $5.59, ship weight 4 oz. Pricing for the dome to fit the 11x22" tray is on p. 3 of the Growing Supply catalog. |

![]() Mini Starter Pots - These plastic cups are great to use as inexpensive miniature flower pots. Each cup measures 2 ¼ inches across the mouth and is 1 1/8 inches tall. These cups are more commonly sold for use with food or with medicine, but houseplant enthusiasts will find them very handy for small cuttings, starter plants, miniatures, or seedlings. You will need to put your own drainage holes in the bottom of each pot. An electric drill or soldering iron will do this chore easily. Each “pot” has a smooth rolled rim so that tender young leaves are not damaged when in contact with the “pot” edges. The translucent plastic “pot” walls make it easy to see how wet (or dry) your soil is. The photo shows a starter miniature African violet planted in one of the cups. Mini Starter Pot 25 pack Item #118, $.50, shipping weight 2 oz.; Mini Starter Pot 100 pack Item #118A, $1.50, shipping weight 7 oz. These pots are a close-out item. |
